Eagle Helicopters was founded on Aerial Agriculture as there was a high demand in the cotton industry at the time. There was a need for better control measures of spray drift through this industry as cotton was grown in areas that were within close proximity of towns and large populations.

The use of the helicopter through this boom time of cotton enabled cotton growers to grow cotton in areas that would normally be unsuitable.

From this Eagle Helicopters has ventured into other areas of Aerial Agriculture covering most aspects of aerial spraying, fertilising and seed spreading.

The business has been very adaptable in its approach to who it was and is able to service, from the farmer with a small area of land through to the government and mining sectors. If the client had a specific need we were and are able to cater for this.

David Braid as the chief pilot, managing director and chief flying instructor found that there was a need to be able to train our own staff and other members of the aviation industry in the area of aerial agriculture. We have found that there was no specific designated agricultural training schools affiliated by CASA so we developed the agricultural flying school. From that point we are now able to boast that we are the only CASA approved Agriculture Training School in NSW and one of only three Australia Wide.

David is more than happy to discuss in further detail as to the training and skills you will need to obtain your agricultural rating.
